Been working on this piece for a while. Here we have the 1st Missouri Brigade of the CS Army of the West being issued new uniforms direct from the Texas State Penitentiary. Made of un-dyed raw white wool, the uniforms weren't particularly popular among the Missourians, particularly after their fellow comrades would tease them by braying like sheep upon seeing them. Not too long after they received the uniforms however, they would soon be stained by the mud and blood of the Battle of Pea Ridge from March 7th to 8th, 1862.Hope you all enjoy!
