Well, what I normally use is pencils for the base but blah blah, you can't see the pencil in the end.
For the inked lines, I use fineliner markers; .005, .01, .03, .05, and .08 and go over the pencil lines. For the large spots of black, though, I just use a sharpie, they're the best brand I have found to color the blacks through. If you use them though, be careful of the inks bleeding through badly. You might have to get a piece of paper that you don't plan on using and put it under the piece you use them on, or if you don't mind, let it bleed through.
I could go into detail about them, but I'm not sure if you want to know that part. :'D

It's really helpful, but I really suck with traditional art. At least I prefer digital art because you can erase/copy/paste much more *cough* XD
But I know that a friend of mine really love traditional art so maybe I can suggest her to use these.
