Cough Cough

From under the covers of his bed, the hero of time coughed. He felt weak...pathetic. How could he, a hero, be forced to take the day off from all those adventuring just because of a feverish temperature. It was irritating him more than he thought it would. And to make things worse, his temperature would never go down. Why? Let's just say that you were the cause of all this.

"Hey Link. How's your fever?" The door creaked slightly, telling the hero in it's own way that someone had just come in the room.

"I-I'm fine...Just let me go out and adventure _____! How can I be a hero if I can't go out?" Link pouted at you with cheeks bright red, you sighed as you watched him pull the covers up to cover his face.

"You can be such a kid sometimes you know that." You huffed before walking towards his bedside table, hanging his hat neatly on the wall before flopping down on the chair next to him. You hummed a little tune, his ears perked up at the sound of your humming and popped his head out. His blonde bangs falling over his eyes neatly. You turned your head towards him and smiled.

"What are you smiling about? I'm already banned from getting one step out of this stupid bed..." He turned his back away from you in an attempt to hide his blush.

"I just find you cute that way." You giggled as he turned to face you the moment you spoke.

"How much more are you going to torture me? First you ban me from getting a step out of this bed, then you make me eat those disgusting herbs...THEN you make fun of me? What is it, 'tease Link' day?" He sighed in exasperation.

"Come on, don't be like that. I'm doing this for you so bear with it." You placed a hand over his forehead and smiled at the flushed blonde.

"Your temperature's going down. That's a relief...Wait one moment, I'm going to go make you dinner. What would you like?" You asked, tilting your head slightly.

"A-Anything's fine..." The blonde faked a yawn before shutting his eyes.

"Is that so? Well, wait one moment. I'm going to whip something up so you just stay there okay?"

"Like I'm allowed to go anywhere else." He opened an eye and stuck his tongue out at you, in which you gladly returned. As soon as he made sure you were gone he sighed and placed a hand over his chest. "My heart's...beating fast..." He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts before sinking deeper into the sheets. Maybe getting that fever wasn't as bad as he thought it'd be.
