14-spotted ladybird beetle (Propylea quatuordecimpunctata, Coccinellidae) macro photographed at a small, over 300 years old, forest estate in my neighbourhood.
These beetles are very tiny. Usually between 3.5 and 4.5 mm in size. This was a young one, barely 3 mm in size.

In six weeks I have already seen three species of ladybird that I had never seen before (or noticed before 😉) in my life.
