Description
Assignment: Have a story, show a scene from that story with two figures and a suggestion of background.Illustration based on the Lion vs Unicorn myth, in which both the unicorn and the lion battle to become the king of beasts. There are various versions on how the actual battle goes, but the lion wins. Sometimes this story is used to explain the transition between spring and summer. And it's one of my favorite stories.
It's actually not the first time I've done something for this story here on dA.

Oh wow, the posing in this is very dynamic and fluid. Also I like the Lion's claws in this.
While both creatures are already quite expressive, I think some more creases between the Lion's eyebrows and near the part of his nose that meets them could add some more ferocity to his expression.
