Hello, may i ask something?
Do you color over your lineart? If so, do you do it on an different layer?
And on step three on your tutorial, do you refine the details on the foreground on the same messy color thing?
and when you color, do you delete the sketch layer and color directly on the colors or do you make a lineart 1st

one annoying question:
how do you blend the clouds?
is it with regular brush with pen pressure and lots of eyedrop-ing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ethe In reply to SDex [2008-11-07 05:33:46 +0000 UTC]

I used the airbrush brush with pen pressure and yes lots of eyedrop-ing, haha excellent observation

makasih sharingnya kk~ heheeh, sama2 pengguna 'color balance juga ternyata'...

bole nanya cara nge-soft shadingnya ga? wa sering bingung nge-building valuenya

ethe In reply to rudiindra4 [2008-07-10 09:22:32 +0000 UTC]

pertama pake ink brush tapi opacity jitternya jadiin pen presure, entar pas uda mayan nyampur baru alusinnya pake air brush tetep dgn opacity jitter - pen presure.
itu 2 basic brushnya, selalu ampuh ^^

rudiindra4 In reply to ethe [2008-07-12 09:07:31 +0000 UTC]

oO pake brush semua y
wa biasanya pk smudge klo ngeblend, tp lama2 aga2 ngga puas ama hasilnya yg terlalu ngeblur

btw, nanya lg bole kk? biasanya klo gambar, outlinenya suka diilangin ato cm diganti aja warnanya?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ethe In reply to rudiindra4 [2008-07-13 01:41:08 +0000 UTC]

hmm tergantung mood
ada yg biasanya cuma sketsa kasar, jadi pas warna garisnya ditimpa, terus dibikin lagi outlinenya abis kelar warna. Tapi kadang ada sketsa nya kalo gw seriusin, scan terus entar baru diganti warnanya. hehe lebi sering yg pertama si, males bersihin garis..

Ethe, thanx 4 sharing

This is so useful
I have read both of your tuts. But I still have questions
Did you color all the characters only in one layer in this tutorial?
And how big is your file, when you want to print it out?
I always have big problem like: how big is my file, and then my computer always slow and slower.
I work normally in A4 and 300 dpi and with many many layers T.T
I want to work faster T.T like others.

I'm sorry for my bad english. I hope you can still understand my sentences.
Thanx for your attention and help Ethe m(_ _)m

ethe In reply to ImperialBlue [2008-07-08 22:15:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks so much
Yes, I mostly colored my characters in 1 layer, but sometimes when it's more complex I would separated each characters on different layers. In some case I made a new layers for the character's clothes patterns but I would merged them together. Less layer = more speed for my processor
I usually started 300 dpi on letter size (similar to A4), then adjusted the canvas depending on my composition.

hope it would help ;_; thanks again!
