Description
I tried something new for these couple of abstract shots. I remember reading about a tip somewhere that recomended you place your hand in front of the camera for a second or so before doing a long exposure to minimize the effects of camera shake because all the camera sees is black until you remove your hand. Well I used that technique a little differently here. I'd point the camera at one light source, such as the little chimney, after a few seconds I'd put my hand over the lens and point the camera at another light, such as a candle, then uncover the lens. The result is having multiple lights on top of or near each other without a motion blur from in between. I got very interesting results. I'll have to experiment with this more often. There I gave away one of my tricksRelated content
