I'm not into basketball, so please excuse my ignorance concerning this particular sporting legend. But I know exactly how you feel when a great sports person you have looked up to and admired passes away, you feel a personal loss. My heart goes out to you Ma'am x

I played basketball through High School and my first year of College and she was always someone I admired. I'll even admit to being a closet Lady Vols fan. I'm sure over the years she touched so many lives that she will never be forgotten.

My favorite story is that she was offered the position of coach of the men's team and she stated she didn't see why that would be considered a promotion. Β I don't know if that story is true, but it sounds right. Β She was only three years younger than me... Alzheimer's.... it all is very sad. Β Your tribute is very good, my dear.

It does sound like the kind of thing she's say.Β  And she would've been successful.Β  Like Peyton Manning said, she could've couched any sport, any team, any level, male or female.Β  She was the best.

She was what everyone wanted in a coach: great on the court, as good of a person off it.

Sucks that she's gone but she lead a life people should aspire to, and that's something few can say they did.
