Description
I said I was going to at one point. I did.I noticed a pretty consistent trend from back in the day. This dress. I mean I'm pretty sure every doller at some point did some LOTR character, though there seemed a strong preference for Arwen. This dress in particular. I mean a lot of people did several of her but this dress seemed the most dolled. It was almost like a rite of passage or something. Not complaining it is pretty.
Trends have a way of being well overdone, for the better or for the worse, and they reach a point where they're done so much that it's annoying, but then they reach a point where they're literally done by everyone save for one, and then that one is obligated to follow so that everyone has done it. It's comical to me when it reaches that point.
So I wouldn't say this is my best work, or that it's really any good at all...But it's not terrible either, so I had to share it. I have a weird obsession with making sure dolls look exactly like who they're meant to be, and at some point I just finally realized that it doesn't have to look like a photo just scaled down. I mean if not every pixel was so perfect that it looked exactly the same then it isn't the end of the world.
Also you know my folds look like trash right up until the end. I mean from point A to like Y they look just awful, I mean complete garbage, but then once that final touch is done they come together and suddenly look right. It's bizarre but I know this so I seldom redo folds before they're completed.
There was no way to really tell what the exact pattern of the gold details were, and even if it were clear there was no guarantee they' translate into little pixels well, so they're pretty much random.
