Something else to remember when drawing birds: each group or species has a different flap pattern! Raptors like eagles and hawks have a different type of flight than owls or songbirds or doves/pigeons! Slow-motion video references are very helpful in this aspect!
One error I noticed in the flap cycle portion of this page is the down-stroke of the pigeon's wings (I think it's a pigeon? It looks like one to me.) Pigeons and doves actually have two points of contact in their cyle! Their wings touch at the very top and bottom of their flaps, which make that characteristic slapping sound when they fly!

Very interesting comment! Wonderful tips here! A friend mentioned in passing something about the strange sounds pigeons make when they're flying having something to do with their wings, but I didn't put it together until I read this comment, so thank you for sharing. ;w;/
However, in your last paragraph, I'm ashamed to say that your "I think it's a pigeon" reminded me of the "Is this a pigeon?" meme. :'D

I think the only thing that could make it better for a wonderful quick set of tips is to show on the “full stretch” the tendon that doesn’t allow a fully extended “arm” I see so many wonderful things with this except I’m worried not showing something like that will end up having people draw without that tendon causing all this knowledge to still look really wonky. Feather groups also look a little weird too as I’m worried that how short those secondaries end will teach people to taper them closer to the body. I don’t know, I love your tutorials so much but being one who’s been closely studying wings lately just figured I could give some thoughts on making it even cooler!
