Oh wow, this photo really amazed me and makes me breathless.
I'm in love with the colours in it - the mixture of blue, green and pink is just wonderful.
I also like the effect that makes the blossoms shine from the inside - that what makes the photo so unique.
Moreover I like the darkness around them, it increases the mysterious effect.
I've got absolutely nothing negative to say, it's perfect.
very well done, you did a very good Job and I have to fave it!

Thank you! I've loved mimosas since I was a child and wanted to capture them in a slightly less average way (not during full daylight/golden hours) so that it really seemed something otherworldly. They've always seemed a bit dreamy to me.

very nice!
the colors are great and outstanding and the background looks just right. maybe the focus is a little bit too near to the camera, but it doesn't matter very much. the photograph looks beautiful as it is!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the constructive criticism! I agree, probably a bit too close. Next summer I may have to revisit this, since I've definitely learned more about low light photography, and try to improve it.

What a gorgeous shot. I love the combination of soft and sharper focus here.

Going through your DA while submissions load, and I'm appreciating the animation given to the inanimate objects in a few of your photos. Through use of shallow dof and a close lens, you gather a feathery, ethereal quality which seems to carry across a whimsical, almost magical aspect. Especially here on this flower...er, plant? >> Not sure which, any way ttfn

Aw, thank you! I really love up close & macro photography. I enjoy portraiture and such but macro really owns my heart lol. The flower is a Mimosa bloom, they're some of the prettiest summer blooms, most around here don't stand up to the heat but those, I guess since they're trees, are hardy and last all summer.
