Description
Cochrane Winter Rally, 2009. Alberta Canada. 04 Subie STI rolls completely over right in front of me, this is the last shot I got before I started to run frantically.Drive and Co-driver were unharmed.
If you look closely there is a backpack in the left of the picture...where another photographer was standing for the passes of all the previous cars on that stage, he moved by chance across the stage just as that happened to help a friend change a filter that was stuck...lucky he did!!!!

Edit: A DD! When I suggested this, it was just because I didn't see many automotive sport shots up there, I never thought it would actually get accepted!!!!

i faved it for the great shot and being able to live and tell the tale. you're all lucky it didn't barrel roll multiple times

Well spectator safety is taken care of very strictly, espechially by CARS and the rally organizers of Cochrane Regional rally.
However as media, we sign wavers to make sure that its understood that we may be placing ourselves in danger.
Rally spectating world wide is phenomenal and very safe.

They DNF'd, the damage was mostly cosmetic but the front right control arm was too bent to continue.

Yeah, I do this all the time. The ride is much smoother on two wheels and it's even more fun with a hot chick in the passenger's seat! LOL! Excellent capture and congratulations on the DD!

If you look to the left of the car, theres a backpack in the snow. One of the other photographers was standing there right up until this car passed, luckily he decided to move right before this happened.

I ran like a little monkey after this photo. Ended up busting my knee pretty bad doing it. The photographer across the road caught the entire roll from a really sweet angle.
