Spoilers aside, it is revealed that the true form of Envy was once the older half brother of Edward and Alphonse Elric, resurrected as a homunculus following his death over 300 years in the past. This was finished sometime in (September...?) 2017 when I was absorbed into this show -- it was also entered into a fan art contest back in March and won first place!
