[UPDATE] SecondShell 2.0.1 is released with bunch of new features. For a detailed video guide visit [link]Hi,
I have created a freeware application called Secondshell. Download here: [link]
SecondShell is a set of enhancements to the windows shell. It's features are the following:
# Maximize windows Horizontally or Vertically
* When you either need longer lines or more rows, but not full screen β customizable hotkeys.
# Move and resize windows easily
* While pressing ALT, click anywhere in the window and drag the mouse to move.
* While pressing ALT, right-click anywhere in the window and drag the mouse to resize. Works also with not resizable windows!
# Minimize and close applications easily
* Right-click anywhere in the window titlebar to minimize the window.
* Middle-click anywhere in the window titlebar to close the application.
# Use up to 10 custom hotkeys to launch your frequently used application
* Hotkeys and application paths can be set in the configuration file.
# Change the CapsLock button into middle mouse button
* Useful for netbook users, can be disabled in the configuration file if not needed.

I have xp on my old home desktop and on my netbook, and if I had to change the OS it would be ubuntu. I don't use pirated OS or software, and experiencing how great ubuntu is, I doubt I'd pay for windows ever again.
I have Vista on my extremely powerful office laptop, and I have no influence in what is the corporate standard win version. Since we upgraded from win2k, skipping XP, I have a feeling that my company has a strategy to use the wrong versions. If we will skip win7 and go for win8, that OS id doomed.

esza - yes, i agree with everything you said - it is so true my friend - personally, i've been very dissapointed in microsoft these recent years - ubuntu [linux base]is a good choice - apple is good too but, they don't offer the range of apps like ms - with microsoft, they take your money on the os and you just get the very basics - then, you have to work to apply good quality app addons to get your pc running to your personal specifications - it's tiresome and sometimes frustrating - thx for you reply was very good friend !!
