So I’ve been watching BEASTARS and I love it, it makes me want to try drawing anthro, but idk?? I’ve only ever really tried once before, like, yearrrsss ago. Here’s another try at it, and I really like it, but... tbh I’m not sure how to draw the hands/legs/feet—is it a style thing? What are your preferences? More animal-like or human-like?If anyone has any links to tutorials or advice in general, I’d be super grateful! <3

Dog paws look is usually more cute. Small proportion makes it more cute usually. More human like hands goes for a less cute look. Hope it helps <3

Thanks for the advice! I feel much more comfortable drawing human hands since I've been drawing them longer, though, I could see how paws would be cuter (which is what I typically prefer to draw!) I'll have to do some hand/paw studies then! Thank you for your input, it's much appreciated :>

I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference 🤷🏻♂️ And the general look of the character themselves. Like a softer character would look better with a softer, more human shape whereas a character that is meant to give off more of a wild and animalistic vibe would suit the more animalistic features, if that makes sense?

Yeah, totally! Personally, I feel more comfortable with human-esque figures since I've been drawing them longer and have studied it a bit more than animal anatomy, but if i wanna make that good good furry commish art I was just wondering if there's a preference for either style. But it's like you said, it likely just comes down to the artist's personal tastes. Still, I'd love to learn anthro anatomy just for the sake of it :>
