So....it looks like I lost all my fractal files (again).... and while I'm a bit upset about losing images and parameters that I'll never be able to get back, I'm determined to just use it as incentive to make more. Thankfully, my computer is back up and running, it was very easy to reinstall Apo/Chaotica, and I'm in a much better place than I was last time (having learned so much in the past 6 months and still remembering it!)

This is my first render on the fixed machine (after having two dead hard drives replaced and the tower cleaned out and thermal sensors recalibrated) - the fans aren't nearly as noisy now, and to seems to be rendering faster (probably since before only one of my hard drives was working to begin with- I'm no computer hardware expert but have learned a tiny bit about RAID arrays in the past week.)

All Chaotica 1.5.8 - elliptic splits with a few odds and ends.
