And here - is the sketch of Isabel of Castille (Isabel de Castilla), probably the main character of my series in process, the one I've started it for. Having gained the throne in the very end of the Middle Ages, she had become the first European queen who really rules and united her country (Spain) after the long years of Arabian invasion.As a reference I used the image of Michelle Jenner, the Spanish actress playing Isabel of Castille in the "Isabel" TV-series

Thank you, Sheldon, a lot! Actually, this sketch is very far from perfect by anatomy, but gives me the image of Isabel's personality: a weak woman with no inner energy and power wouldn't have united the whole country and solve the problem of invasions, so my main aim in making her portraits is to depict her strength!

You're very welcome Xenia and for me, it's not the "perfection" of an artwork which interests me...it's the overall "impact" of the piece which does it for me and I felt that this creation was really wonderful and that is that my friend!
