I created my own dragonically proliferate Inktober list this year. I didn't know Smaugust was a thing until September, so I'll have to keep that in mind for next year.

I have slowly been developing a taxonomy for dragons since just about anything gets called "dragon." I used to think it was descriptive of one or two particular creatures and the rest were dragonic but not dragons. However, I've come to the conclusion "dragon" is as accurate a term as "dinosaur." The class desperately needs clarification. If someone asks me to draw a dragon, I want to be able to ask if they're looking for a reptilian or avian bipedal, tetrapedal, hexapedal, or non-pedal dragon and only get more specific from there.

I'm a dragon nerd. I don't care if it's a fantasy creature. Shush.
