Description
The Fifth Fleet of the System Alliance Navy, also known as the Arcturus Fleet, attacks the giant Reaper named Sovereign in the Battle for the Citadel.Under constant bombardment by a full armada of Alliance starships, Sovereign is finally destroyed by a fatal shot from the Normandy SR-1, averting the return of the full Reaper fleet from beyond the galactic rim, and saving sentient life from utter destruction.

Man, this final battle in ME was one of the two things that made this game tolerable. The scene is just SO FRIGGIN' COOL! I mean, look at that! Sovereign/Nazara totally took on all the Citadel and Alliance fleet on its own, no problem! The Citadel fleet and Alliance fleet seems to be in greater numbers, but holy sh*t - one direct hit from the Reaper's weaponry and they were instantly made crisps! Honestly, think if Sovereign didn't screw up and its direct link with Saren backfires causing its kinetic barriers to overload, I'd say there's a very high probability that it would totally crush the entire fleet.
Seriously, why didn't the Star Destoryers from the Galactic Empire have this kind of firepower? One-hit kill for cruisers, yet suppressed enough toprevent planetary destruction.

Tolerable. Lol the whole trilogy was nothing short of a masterpiece. I loved every moment of mass effect 1,2 and 3. Lol get out with that tolerable negativity bullshit

Yeah, when I say "tolerable", I meant no disrespect, only the rolling around on empty planets in the Mako... that was too boring. All I see were... empty planets driving me nuts. Had to bite the bullet to survey every minerals, collect matriarch writings, turian insignias... and no fast travel locations. (sigh) Second entry was way better.

Yes, Sovereign lost only because he was linked with Saren. Without that he had shattered the whole Alliance fleet. No doubt.

Also I think Shepard made a verbal mistake... Sovereign, Harbinger - those were still hostile machines, unlike Legion. THEY should be the ones called "It".

Harbinger learned it better, though. As soon as the Collector base gets wiped out it severed the link with the General. That "Releasing control"... man. Visceral with a fine mix of ruthlessness and badassery.

More like it didn't expect its direct link with Saren would backfire when a force-disconnection occurs and overloads its shield.
Man, that one thing could take on the entire Citadel AND Arcturus fleet and make short work of 'em, no problem. Like sweeping specks of dust off the floor during spring cleaning.

For something that was quite proud of what it was attempting to do, Sovereign made a fatal miscalculation here.
