Description

The ships of the "Void Devils" an elite squadron of Vorcha pilots.

Based on a concept work from the Mass Effect Artbooks but I have me allowed some liberties to add more details like wings, weapons and engines.

The vorcha are an unpopular species, considered by most to be a pest and scavenger. In the galactic standard they are considered primitive at best, also because they do not have their own spaceships or even their own technology. That they left their home planet at all is because they represent cheap labor or cannon fodder on the battlefield. The asari have tried to train the vorcha as miners for a while, but the violent nature and extremely short lifespan of the vorcha quickly bring it to fall. Most of the vorcha that can be found outside of their home planet today are mercenaries or scavengers. Because they are extremely adaptable and can even survive in poisonous and toxic environments, they keep spreading.

In the 2170s, the turians together with the humans tried to form a small special unit from the vorcha. The so-called "Void Devils" a fighter unit to keep pirates away. The original plan was to rehabilitate the Vorcha reputation a little. Giving the vorcha a chance to be civilized was a good-hearted effort.

The Void Devils are an independent organization consisting of vorcha fighter pilots trained by human and turian mentors to be used for contracts against illegal traders, slavers, and mercenaries. Though uniformly young by other species' standards, the Devils have laser-like focus on the task of taking out enemy ships. Courageous in the extreme, they are also notably disciplined for vorcha.

Since the Vorcha do not have their own ships, they were given a small number of corvettes and fighters from the turian Navy. Since hardware losses were expected in view of the Vorcha, it was decided to give them older turian models that are usually constructed by Haliat Dockyards for the civilian population and client races military. Since the turians always think militarily, they can easily be upgraded to militaric grade.
