Description
Zel before he met other Slayers; still young and blood-starving.I wanted to apply a different coloring method...but I always return to old ones when I try on Zel Xp
While I was drawing this, I got interrupted 58 times by my boys, per every 2 minutes. :]

There's nothing more epic than your art. And when it's the Slayers, I get all giddy and hop up and down!
When I first became a fan of the show, back in the 90s, I remember perusing tons of fan art, and yours was always amazing! It makes me sooo nostalgic. The glory days of the Slayers, those were. Now, those days live on in my brain. Good times.

The colouring you have for Zel (as per usual since it's something you are breaking away from) has something of a distinctive trademark, which of course makes it obvious "oh, she posted again ^^ "
In it's own way, there is much of the spectrum that comes out as though it is marbled with pearl a sheen. I really don't know how you do that, but there appears to be quite the appeal to it.
Experimenting is a lot of fun, and sometimes all it takes is a different start.

I used just photoshop CS for this drawing--Long time ago, I did traditional coloring a lot, with colored pencil, but now it's extremely hard. My boys try to take my sketch and toss it away to trash can, since they hate stuffs taking their mommy's attention. When it comes to PC...they don't, since they know how expensive the PC is and how mad I'd be if they break it

I don't know how you can handle CS for drawing in directly. I can never get my tablet to work properly with it. This is also part of why I use openCanvas 1.1 for the past 7 years. I know that lots of peeps here use SAI, but my computer can't even handle that, it's lags too much for me 
Jealous boys will be jealous and I hope they will outgrow it soon, this is likely going to haunt me when I end up with kids.

I've been using Photoshop since 2000 and I've learned quite a bit out of it, like how to make your own brushes, layers, clipping, masking, pathing, grouping.
Lots of this you can figure out on your own just by dabbling about and playing with the tools. but controlling the brushes are what I still have issues with, compatibility. Probably why I feel more comfortable with the tools in oC1.1, got full control of them there
Good pic of Haku, that pallet is like magic or something. What perplexes me is how there seems to be some texture in there
Speaking of twins, my brother just got some himself last year, one of each. So I'll have to keep on my toes then when I visit.

Wow you're better than me in using Photoshop. That's what I need to study. When I drew the Haku, I did sketch + basic coloring on paper with color pencils -->scan the unfinished drawing --> and complete coloring in OC. That's why it has texture feel

if you'd like, I could take on a PS colour (using CS for that matter) to demonstrate some processes. It all really starts with knowing what results you want out of it. Though knowing the results do require knowing what can be done in the first place.

usually people refer PS for photoshop, the typical microsoftpaint or similar pixel based painting programs, they just call it Paint.
It's never too late to pick up on art, because what is important is the enjoyment it brings us.
