"Enough!", shouted Ahadi. Fed up with Taka's growing jealousy and bitterness towards his family, Ahadi reared up on his hind legs and struck his son with his mighty paw. This act of violence spurred more anger in Taka's heart. In order to make his father never forget what he had done, he vowed to only to answer to the name 'Scar'."Fanfiction isn't my thing. But from what I've read, there are two theories to how Taka became Scar. I personally love the idea of his father giving him his mark. Not that King Ahadi was an abusive and violent father, it just adds drama to the story.

Ahadi is the father of Mufasa and Scar. Disney really did come up with the name. He's in "The Lion King Six New Adventure" books. Which are difficult to find.

I'd imagine getting struck by a full grown male lion does hurt. Well, it'd probably kill a human...but injure a lion. ^^
