Description
Installment N°13 in the Horse series03.26.08 - This horse has just been dedicated to sweet man, a genuine horse-lover and maybe someday a friend. As he liked this one and found it familiar-looking, I gave him the right to call it his. This is for you, Janne.

I don't want these horses to feel alone and abandoned again. I trust you and Ursula, you will love them well. I didn't post them to hoard them like a miser... and your happiness makes me happy. Have fun! gies

I can only speak for myself, even if I know Ursula loves her horse.
But you can be sure of Whisper's good care and happiness. It's not
a bad place for a horse. gies

I wouldn't have given you Whisper if I had had any doubt. I recognised a genuine horse-lover almost from the beginning. It was a logical choice, one I don't regret for a minute

Looks a lot like a "Nordsvensk".. I don't know
what it is called in english.. A swedish horsetype.

I think it was an Anglo-Normand halfblood.... very skittyish, if I remember well, it took more than half an hour to convince him to leave his van.... One of my most 'realistic' and 'live' horses, little more than a vamped-up sketch....

Very beautifully captured.
I googled the horsetypename.. "North Swedish Horse" it's the
english name of the one I thought it reminded me of.

Oh, northern horses... shouldn't they be hairy and short, to survive the cold... like the Icelandic horse?
Yes, this Anglo-Normand, in his rustic way, is a favourite of mine.... well, I think I could say that of most of them... I am biased!!!

Oh.. they are BIG horses.. the breed(?) was, and are still, used for working.
Like pulling logs in the forrest among other things. They are good trotters too.
Not at all as the Icelandic horse.
Nah, are you biased? That would mean that I am biased too..

The difference being that you are exercising your right to personal taste, while I cannot be sure my reactions to these horses are due to aesthetic preferences or to personal attachment, even after all these years...
Were those Swedish horses a local breed, or were they imported (you know, like the mustang and palomino in America)?

Since I don't know very much of the History of the Horse, I make it
easy for both of us. Wikipedia: [link]

All hail Wiki (and Google, and...) - very ancient origins. Now THAT's precise....alright, I won't insist. Doesn't really matters, now does it?

The swedish wiki have more on the subject.. but no dates or years.
I guess "we" just don't know. People have wandered up several times.
And Whisper doesn't even care. He's so satisfied to see the light and get
the attention after all those years.
Thank you again.

Yes, as time went by, the percentage of 'almost realistic-looking' horses grew. A bit. megagiga, to you and all your little friends...
