Better than photoshop if you're making manga. But not for people who are into serious none comic art.

Nah, for CG, I use Open Canvas or Comic Illust. This is usually good if you want to use it for drawing mangas.

oh i see, its reall easy to use, ive made improvments. i think im good enuff to cg my own banner and cover too. What size should I scan a banner at to CG it? 300?

If you want to print your banner, then 600 should be good.
Else, 300 and below is good for display on screen.
