WELL...I've been trying to figure out what Friday would like when he was alive, so... I sketched, and doodled like mad on a ton of other papers. When I finally liked a design, I decided to draw a little human Friday and Euphoria next to each other just to see what they looked like if I put 'em next to each other...
... I really like black/white/red color combos. ;u;
Anyways, I really liked how they turned out here. I'll just make a digital version of these two some time, later. But until then, it'll be just a sketch. -u-
(If you look closely, you can see my little sketch for my Communications Design project on the back side of the paper. That's 'cause this was drawn on cheap lined paper.)

Now I've kind of got a love-hate thing going on with this... on the one hand, I've always been curious as to what Friday possibly looked like when he was alive (and pretty much wondering what the circumstances were that resulted in him being a ghost thingy now); now, on the other hand, now that we know what he looked like when he was alive, that sense of wonder is kind of gone now. ><
Nevertheless, I like the design myself, I don't see what you're discouraged about, his outfit, to me, seems to reflect your style very well, and they ARE very unique, I don't see characters walking around in black-and-white stripes a lot (save for one of my squirrels). I think you did a great job with Friday. And Euphoria looks really pretty in this one too.

Ahh, yeah. I've been thinking about that, too, and considered moving this into my Scraps because of that.
I think sometimes, when you're creating something, it's more fun when you're still creating it. Like you said now, you enjoyed the curiosity of wondering what he looked like, and me too. But I killed it for myself, too, when I got obsessed trying to think up their stories and designs. And then, I came up with his final design (?), and I'm still not fully satisfied. I think I enjoyed the feeling of not knowing, too.
And thanks! I really don't know what is up with me with the whole red, black and white thing going on. I always thought of these characters living in a sort of monochromatic sort of universe, with emphasis only on the reds and purples, I think. Or maybe not, not fully sure, yet, but I like that idea.
