The composition here, the way the model's arms and legs and curved body echo the curve of the tree, the way his eyes look off-canvas, it all feel grounded in painting, in art. It's also interesting to me what happens if you crop away most of the left of the picture, maybe all the way to the top of the ear. So much tension either way.
