Thank you!! This is my favorite way to work - lots of musculature and attitude.
And Hariet was a dressage horse I took lessons on -- a very special beast. She died last summer, and I did this for her owner.

This is great. I like the way it reminds me of those low-relief (i think this is the word) marble carvings. I'm not really in a place to give you alot of great crit cause I don't know much about drawing horses but I do think the creases and contrast are nicely done.

Thank You! Yup. Ebony, charcoal are the primary mediums with touches of crayon d'nash. Crayon d'nash which is a creamy chalk. It acts as a watercolor when wetted. I love the creases in the neck and the feeling of tension.
