Hurp.Sorry it went thru so much pain up to now. There aren't honestly many more lines to draw, but the margin for error here is really small. Then digital color.
Her hair (and a little detail on the eyes that's hard to get at this size) is yet to be corrected in SAI, please forgive.
To give my partner his long awaited inspiration
at least I have all day today.

Oh man, I wanna see this coloured. :D The composition is really beautiful, I really like her hand for some reason. Funny how in the YuyuYoumu pic I'm in the processes of drawing, Yuyuko also has her kimono slipping off.
How do you draw butterflies so they look like....butterflies? When I draw them they look like cardboard cut-outs at best. :C

ummmm I have no idea lol. The only thing I can imagine, do you get stuck in drawing them all from a similar perspective, or 'head on' to the wing plane, maybe? Its the same thing sort of as if you drew falling leaves or petals, if they all look like the same shape then it doesn't seem natural?

I try drawing different angles but they look more like leaves or petals than butterflies. I don't really draw their bodies though, lol. But even when I try giving them some sort of body they still look like...not butterflies. Maybe I'm getting their wing shapes wrong? But they sort of have variation there anyway...

the only constant of wing shape really is the hindwing is covered by the forewing when viewed from the top. There are so many different shapes and sizes of wings.
I don't know if I've seen you draw butterflies, maybe if I saw them I could understand what you meant. I didn't think I draw them particularly great but they're just supposed to be spirit butterflies so I went with this approach.

[link] There's some in the YuyuYoumu fanart but I haven't drawn them much. They look pretty obscure (because I was lazy and I gave up).
I didn't know the antenna was different. D: Also, you forgot to mention moths look creepier. *shudder*

Oh, i forgot about that. Maybe just try looking at a lot of photos... I think if you throw in a few more oblique looking angled ones it might look more 'random' or natural so to speak? It doesn't look bad to me. Only that there are 2 in the same perspective.

Yeaaaah, no. Fuzzy things are supposed to be cute, not terrifying. ._.
Example: kitten -> fuzzy = cute
But, moth -> fuzzy = (...the wings look cool though.)
SPEAKING OF WHICH, today after showering I saw A HUGE SPIDER in the shower stall. Did I take a shower with a spider???? I almost died when I thought of that. And then I evacuated the spider outside, so it wouldn't silently kill me. I am still traumatised.

i was afraid of it seeming fanservicey but I just think she looks really pretty in that style of dress *___* you know, without being trashy, because she is an elegant yamato nadeshiko type... lol

As far as is my understanding, it is some sort of ideal for the feminine. Not that you know Bleach but... Unohana Retsu pretty much embodies this while being the most frightening person in the series.
