Kind of reminds me how underrated Garry Chalk's OP was. He was pretty good, kind of like a younger version of Optimus Prime.

This episode of Beast Wars is a pretty good showcase of Garry Chalk's acting range, not just in action scenes, but in calmer scenes, too. [link] (Please forgive that it's in widescreen, even though the series was never in widescreen.)

Uuuhmmm ... yes ... the voice isn´t bad, but i think the voice don´t go with his character and ... there animals ?! And he´s a monkey?! how not dignified is that ?! (sorry if you like beast wars, but my favourite show is TFP)

If you don't fully understand the idea behind best transformers or think it's your forte, then okay, but try to look at this from Hasbro's point of view:
Transformers was hanging on by a thread after the disaster that was G2 and they had an ultimatum: Make a serious risk reinventing the franchise or Transformers would had ended. The writing of Beast Wars strayed far from the rather simplistic G1 plots and "inventions of the week" and the character development opportunities of a smaller cast gave the Maximals and Predacons more time to shine as individuals, not just soldiers in a war. Besides, a gorilla is an ape, not a monkey, and a rather intelligent, strong animal, so what's the problem? Sorry if I'm ranting, but this is probably in my top 5 favorite shows, as a kid and even in my top 10 as a 23-year-old, so I felt like it needed some defending. It's a pretty good series and it certainly got a lot more accomplished quality-wise than Transformers Armada did.
