Wow, i'm really POed at the people who are overreacting about Optimus's morals.

so? you don't know him either, he's a friggin fictional character stop acting like you know him just because your a old-school fan
and so what if he's a bit OOC? i bet all the negative commentators make him OOC too

I dun understands. Why are so many people freaking dissing this piece. The Cybertronian characters are not perfect machines, machines aren't perfect either. The cybertronian race is just a race of well, basically humans, who aren't perfect either. The human conscience displays an organism who can learn, who can adapt, who can have feelings and thoughts that interact with and reflect off of the other's feelings and thoughts. until the TFP series came out, the fandom sort of developed this idea that Cybertronians lack certain human qualities such as imagination, and having the capacity and compassion to trust and change. TFP proved this wrong, it showed that the autobots and deceptions were capable of expressing deep emotion, as well as internal moral and psychological conflict.

These 'aliens' can get dizzy, they can feel, they can die. 

To say that Optimus would turn his olfactory sensors away from trusting a deception turncoat, and would be completely incapable of developing feelings for said turncoat would be a huge contradiction to Optimus' personality. In the series, he offers Dreadwing a position on the Autobot team and even trusts Starscream for a brief episode because of his personality and instinct to give peace and trust a chance. Because that's who he is, and its the code of the autobots and maximals. It's also a very important moral for humanity to follow in order to prevent losing the ability to trust.

Furthermore, who's to say that any Cybertronian is incapable of doing what Evaison(the OC) is doing. The darker themes of TFP make it seem very possible. Cliffjumper is killed, brought back to life, and then killed off again, or at least is believed to be. Who's to say that a bot wouldn't try to commit suicide like humans do occasionally? Because their characters are based off of realistic human bases, they are therefore human on the inside.

All these inner critic thoughts aside, this is fanfiction!!! It's not in some of these commenters places to state what Optimus should be like or how he works physically and mentally. It's up to the artist/author to decide how to display these characters in their world. Whether or not said artist wishes to receive advice from the reviewers is their choice. 

Just... calm down people and enjoy some angst!

I think I would have to agree with Bonita and Katt on this, she is indeed right, I would never go for a fembot that was once a Decepticon, nor would I bond with someone who replaces Elita One.
