Description
This is a kind of proccess piece. I've been combining my skills in sculpture with my skills in throwing on the pottery wheel. I also have been interested in alternative firings, this ones a sager with several oxides already in the clay body and fumed in the fire. The symbolism in this piece is focus on the shark. The shark is an animal always moving forward and unable to stop because moving is the only way it can breathe. But, the great white is also known for breeching like whales for food or whatever other reason. This peace signifies those risks of leaving the water and the act of always pushing forward in life to achieve in life.
