You can use png format with any dock application or you can use ico format to change simple icons.

Nice. You should really add the word "Dock" to your title. It'll get more hits, guaranteed. I spent like an hour searching for a DiRT 2 dock icon and didn't find this one until I just put "Dirt 2 icon".
