I love the shape of this tree, and the colourful way in which the clouds and sky shine through it - as you say, twisted, but somehow they seem to entwine together, which is interesting.
The colour tones and the lighting are both great.
The one thing that slightly spoils it for me is the fact that the trunk and main branches are so dark - silhouetted the way they are. Perhaps a little fill-in flash would have helped this problem, I'm not sure.
If I really wanted to be picky (although this doesn't really notice too much), I'd probably also have cloned out that house in the lower background, just in order to keep the entire focus on the twisted nature of the tree and sky.
Overall, this is pleasing to the eye, but I think the darkness of the main part of the tree was just sufficient to stop me from adding it to my e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p⦠" width="15" height="16" alt="
" title="+fav" />'s - otherwise it would have been right in there

Hi Anna - Thank you very much for the Critique on Twisted. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, honesty, and time in providing this critique. As far as cloning out the house, I actually thought about that. With regards to fill flash, it probably would have helped although I did not have a flash with me at the time. Thanks again. Eva

I thought perhaps you'd have thought of using flash for fill if it had been convenient somehow
I love what you have in your gallery and enjoyed reading your Deviant ID too!

Great! I love the perspective as the tree goes overhead. Nice shot!
