Out of lack of experience, how would you recommend painting on stains and rot?

This is an amazing tutorial Evan !
Way better than what I got thought in school, this makes it seem so easy !
Makes me want to get all the products and make a whole lot of them! I just need one of those scales though =/ I think they're a bit pricey.
Thanks for the tutorial though ! You did an amazing job, and the result looks amazing!
Can the model talk properly with the teeth inside, like does it affect the speech much?

A quick question, what kinda paints do you use for the stains and such. And what tools are used for polishing?

This is absolutely amazing. You have no idea how long I've waited for some one to put up a tutorial like this. I have a few questions for you.
1. Is there a specific site/store you bought the majority of these items from?
2. Durability? I'm not going to bite people or open cans with them but I'd like to know how badly/quickly they wear down from repeated use?
3. How would I store them after I'm done using them? Someone told me they get brittle so you should store them in water but I'm not sure I buy that.

insane amount of work! I've done silicone moulding before and had casts of my teeth taken for a gum guard, but never worked with any of the other materials. It's good you put a warning in there! I'd love to make a set of these but I don't think I would be able to afford it. :c

Gorgeous teeth Adding the staining really brings them to life - not that they wouldn't be fantastic without! It just brings the realism to a whole nother level.
I'm so glad you included the bit about tilting the head forward for the alginate! That is absolutely great advice <_< It's not fun having cold, goopy alginate stuck to the back of your throat.
Another thing that helps is pressing the back of the tray against the back teeth first, so extra alginate flows out the front.
Also, warmer water helps the alginate set up faster if you have a sensitive gag reflex e.e; /innerdentalassisntanttryingtobehelpful
