Description
My first ever digital painting. I am just getting used to working with a tablet and learning how to paint in Corels Painter X.It was a present to my girlfriend for Valentines day.

Gorgeous job on the background and tree, though I agree that the shadows are displaced. I think the fox could use some more depth...perhaps some shading to give a fur appearance since the tone variation on the tree makes it seem less flat than the fox?

The colours of the fox' shadow are a bit uneven and the tree trunk's shadow should be wider, I think.
But overall, this is really cute and just as *megsmad it reminds me of a children's book.

I know. Its true about the foxes shadow. I was working on someone elses computer that didn't have good color range so I didn't notice the problems until after I had posted it. I fixed it for my website though.
I wish there was a way to replace or update a piece of art on deviantart.

As far as I know, DeviantART gives you the opportunity to replace an artwork.
When you click Delete deviation, you can select Updating with newer revision and then post the edited version (with the old name).
Or you can just click Edit deviation and change the file, I guess.
