Assuming that you haven't taken into account any continuity from Sonic the Comic Online, what's your explanation for Robotnik's current behaviour? Is he still bent on world (re)domination or going down the whole "destroy everything and be done with it" path from toward the end of STC's run?

Yeah--the trend of evil, albino, technological echidna guys in the Sonic canon was kicked off by Zachary in Sonic the Comic. And no worries, the comic's pacing is constantly hamstrung by the slow update schedule... If a character or plot point ever seems to come out of left field, just ask and I'll happily link to whatever's being referenced or explain the context.

Because while it could be considered the version Okida is doing, it was technically itβs own comic series that was canceled and never truly finished. Okida picked up the uncompleyed series and made it a fan continuation.
