Description
This is my idea for a Sonic game. (that's right, I'm lookin' at you, SEGA).It's meant to be in the "storybook" sub-series, like "Sonic and the Secret Rings", and "Sonic and the Black Knight", and this time Sonic gets sucked into the world of the Greek Myths.
Sonic is accompanied by Iris, (Shahra), Goddess of Rainbows and messenger to the higher Gods. She gives him the wings off of Hermes' sandals, giving him the power of flight to aid in his quest to collect the Seven Pestilences, which the foolish and greedy King Midas (Eggman) accidentally released from Pandora's Box.
How does Sonic collect the Pestilences? Well, each one has infected the hero of a different myth, putting those characters and their stories in grave danger.
I haven't figured out all the details, but I think Sonic will have to:
-Save Icarus (Tails) from falling to his death into the ocean, thus collecting the pestilence of Pride.
-Helping Hercules (Knuckles) finish his Twelve Labors, and collecting Sloth.
-Beating the crap out of Achilles (Shadow) and collecting Wrath. (A la Perfect Chaos)
I haven't thought of the rest yet. Rouge would probably be Lust, Vector'd be Greed, Amy-- Envy, (And Eggman Gluttony). I just can't think of the characters they'd play. ('cept Eggy).
Also, when Sonic recaptures a pestilence, it's corresponding Virtue is freed, fixing the Myth that has been damaged.

I think you've got it down already! Added in some good graphics from SEGA, put the platforms on PS3 and Xbox 360 and it could make the perfect game! Definitely better than Sonic and the Secret Rings, and matching if not exceeding the popularity of Sonic and the Black Knight among Sonic fans. I'm looking at you, too, SEGA! We need something better than Sonic Colours.

Okay, I have some suggestions for the three remaining character ideas:
A) Help Eros(Tails but brown) convince Aphrodite(Amy) into letting him marry the mortal Psyche(Cream), thus collecting Envy.
B) Saving King Midas(Vector) from his golden touch and returning him to normal, thus collecting Greed.
C) Because of Idea B, change Eggman's character to King Eury.
D) Help Odysseus(Silver) get pass the Siren(Rouge) and keep him alive in order to gain Lust.
I know I made a few changes, but in my opinion, it is important to make sure that the myths that have been infected also have some basis in the actual myth.

I could so easily buy into this man cause if you rewind the clock back to I think 1990 when a really old game was made "THE BATTLE OF OLYMPUS" That game rocked...now add a sonic twist to it...OH HELLZ YES...I so like this idea...it would be very very interesting...now there are those that didn't like the story book series and what nots which I understand but hey times have changed...and if they keep the current engine...I think we'll be okay. The story book series seemed to do okay on the WII despite ratings. Well Colors did quite well and since they used the hedgehog engine...it worked out.

Sinc Knuckles is Hercules, Rouge could maybe be Hippolyta. Maybe Amy could be Atlanta or maybe Helen. Personally, I think Midas (Eggman) should be greed and Vector should be gluttony. Perhaps Bellerophon. Do you plan on writing a fanfic on this or doing fanart for it, 'cuz that'd be aweome. Write back when I have more ideas.

I had a Storybook subseries idea in mind it was called Sonic and the Three Musketeers. I need some help with artwork. Sonic found three demonic looking musketeers named Acuity, Veritou and Valoura. He has to help them find the seven feathers to join with a clear feather. I need some ideas for the other characters..the idea is French myth

Um, I don't want to sound naggy but, your forgeting one of the most important characters in the Pandora's box myth. Pandora herself 
Maybe for some of the bosses, the sin could overtake control of the sinner and become one a monster. For Gluttony it could be the Hydra. (if Big represents gluttony, picture the Hydra from *Disney Hercules* only with purple fur and angry cat heads. For lust you could turn Rouge into a Lamia or maybe an Empusa. (Rouge fits lust. end of story.)
Also maybe you could have more Sonic characters appear by having the virtues take forms of Sonic characters.
For Innocene (the virtue that opposes Lust) you could have Cream the Rabbit. She would fit I think.

Here's a few suggestions: How about the Commander as king leonidas and his GUN-soldiers as the Spartans.
Dr. Zachory and Dr. Finifieus as Sajanus (because he has 2 faces).
Black Doom as Ares (seriously look up a pic of Spartan: Total warrior's version of Ares he looks like a human version of Black Doom).
The dark legionairs as the legions of Rome and the nocturus clan warriors as the Roman predorians.
Blaze as Electra princes of the Amazones.
Prof. Gerald Robotnick as Archemedes.
