Hey hey hey,I've been tinkering with "werehog" forms for GOTF -verse characters that are a bit more unconventional than the usual "more fur, more fangs" formula. I really like how this one of Shadow turned out, so I thought I'd share it.
The logic behind the choice of animal is that the transformation bring out the unconscious, more base animal side of the person being transformed (just ignore the fact that they're ALREADY animal-ish. SEGA did). So in Shadow's case, he's solitary, secretive and has quite a bit of self-loathing and guilt built up. I figured an amphibian from sort of like a poisonous frog would be a good metaphor for that given the cultural concept of the frog prince. I also included the design elements from the Biolizard in Shadow's look because, well, it's in his genes.
Anyways, enjoy! I'll probably do Silver next!

In science ken we get
There are at least over 70% or 80% gene being called fake gene
They are useless to the ordinary biological action
But are they really useless
Maybe that is the cause of werehog form
When hidden gene be open
You think what will happen
some scientist try to make these seem useless gene act
So maybe a day when we succeed in
Everyone can have a werehog form.

I don't think that's quite how genes work (besides, with our limited knowledge of how genes really work, saying something is "useless" is an extreme folly), but there have been some interesting experiments done with chickens reverting their alleles to trigger more archaic forms, so they're more similar to dinosaurs (the chick embryos grew toothed jaws instead of beaks. They were never hatched). Funnily enough, the gene cluster that was affected is called the "Sonic Hedgehog" gene. Really, look it up if you don't believe me.

And after that is phenomenon of werehog.
So actually I believe tranformation can bring the unconciousness ,
I just consider it could start from gene ,
and someday human will got ability to control it.

Wow, you have a lot of logic behind your choice of Shadow's form, and I really like it! The picture is also really well done, and the colors work very well for him! You can definitely tell there are Black Arms genes in him, that's for sure!

Hmmmm a rather interesting idea I gotta admit there, I mean its different from just giving a Were or Werehog form accessories and things like wings or splicing it with other beings or creatures but this is a rather unique form I must admit, it's certainly a change to the usual Were-Cat or Werehog ideas they have for Shadow and it does have some outrageously cool qualities to itself^^ Silver I would kinda judge best as Avian or Mammal maybe, Sonic kinda shifts somewhere between Wolven, Draconic/Dragonic or Something alittle unconventional...

Well, since Mephiles's "Mobian" form is basically a altered version of Shadow(Oddly, his body from when he was normal looks a lot like Shadow) it would make sense why Evan did that
What Evan Stanley probably had in mind was anything strongly related or looked similar to Shadow(plus the Frog symbolism). Biolizard would be one, being the prototype or in simple terms "Older brother"...And Mephiles for all we know could of been what Gerald Robotnik based Shadow's body from.

Ah, true. But by Mephiles' normal form, do you mean before he looked like Shadow? I thought he was just a dark, smokey kind of energy form... and Biolizard is Shad's prototype (going by your words) correct? I'd like to have it correct for future fan stories.

Okay I got most of my knowledge of Sonic the hedgehog 2006 from a wiki(Sonic News Network) And it says that Mephiles's crystallized form is what Mephiles used to look like(Excluding the crystal parts 
And what you got from my Biolizard information is exactly correct...That plus my Mephiles info may be how Gerald went from a giant lizard to a mobian hedgehog xD.
But it may be a good idea to disregard my Mephiles information since it is from a unreliable source...

I noticed the life support system (well, it's probably there for a generator reason now) right away. I always thought it strange that they went from a giant LIZARD to a little hedgehog. If you ask me, I think he should turn into a giant dragon because...Dragons are cool. And it's more "complete" than the Biolizard.
BUT THIS. This has a LOT more thought put into it. It's pleasing to look at, I love the speckling on the stripes...The look and everything about it is awesome.
I don't think you realized this, but Shadow is a really good swimmer in the Olympic Games. At least, the first one - not sure about the others. It's somewhat coincidental that you chose a creature that could swim well <3

Tell me if I'm on the right track here: He's a poison frog because the things he keeps inside (hate, guilt, etc.) are poisonous, so a logical choice might be a snake or something, but since you had to incorporate Biolizard elements (for obvious reasons), it came out a frog instead? Maybe? Yes? No? Agh, head hurt...
