I think he is shocked by a helicopter...or a cop!?I drew this by pencil and Photoshop.

I don't think he's shocked. I think he's angry and just about to leave town - looking back when someone calls on him, telling him not to go. Surely the beginning of the story

I drew the figure and shadow by pencil.
Then scan it into photoshop.
Drew a color layer under it.
