haha I didn't so much notice the left arm as...why is the right so fat and short? maybe it just looks that way because of the angle of the hand but it looks disproportionate...and u really should make a left hand! Haha

This is very frightening. I've never thought about Kahlan as being scary. I like her a lor, but this picture puts it into perspective.

That, is one of the best pieces I've seen of Kahlan in an anime-esq style. ^_^ goes to my favorites for sure.

I suppose so.. I didn't really set out to draw her specifically.. If I try to think too much I always screw myself up.
So I just sat and drew, and she came to the paper on her own, I simply named her ^^

LMAO!!! well, this is exactly what I saw her as, and this is how it came out.. I can't say that there was any more to it than that.
Like, what I mean to say is, there was no choice for it to come out any differently.
All it really goes to show is that Terry Goodkind knows exactly how to paint a picture in someone's mind, because we both thought she looked the same!

this is a good sketch, but without shading or colour it lacks that .... extra thing.
i read the books (tenthousand times over!) and i love them sooooooooo much. Has anyone read the naked empire yet cos i dont know whether to buy the hardbackk edition....sorry, not a chatroom!
back to the pic....i dont think the missing arm notices badly, it just seems like it is behind her. Her left eye is a little bit different to her right, but i love the overall picture (especially the hand!)

ya, the left eye i was struggling with a bit.. if i remember right, i think i was going to fix it but just never got around to it.. well, either the left or right, i can't remember now, i was going to fix one of them
the hand (i may have said this before) is one of my best friend's's hands from school; i had her hold it up like that for about an hour and a half
needless to say, she was quite pissed, but that all went away when she saw what she'd helped create ^^

Nah, i never imagined her as anything close to anime. Bleh. That would be completely ruining her. I just imagined her as having long, regal-like hair. Very shiny

i've read the sword of truth series (BEST SERIES EVER)
and i'd have to say this is an accurate depiction of kahlan (except for the missing arm)
you can almost feel the ph34r of being touched by the mother confessor.

I like this one more than your FF one...
I like the perspective of her outstretched hand... nicely done. Hair is still kind of rough, but it shouldnt be hard for you to finish this nicely!
Just out of curiosity, did you sketch this from a reference? Or was this drawn completely out of your head?
