Within moments of finding out about the special event for Narasingha's; we cleaned out the trailer, placed plenty of blankets and things to chew on, then hooked it up to the truck. It would be a sixty mile drive to the airport, and likely be given alot of strange and worried looks when they heard about what would be traveling in the plane with everyone. It was expensive, no doubt about that, but it was gonna be worth every penny for sure!

After training and handling Cassi for some time, we knew she had great potential, and would be a total waste not to try our luck in the competition. She was highly intelligent, stubborn, but liked doing the vigorous routines we offered her each day. Seems the cat likes learning and getting all that exercise. Building up her muscles, and her confidence in the staff at the stables. Cassi's trust in us as well grew along with all the work. Even opening up to lay by me while I read a book outside in the soft, green grass. I felt that she was ready enough now to where I could get her to do simple commands. Such as a light kick to make her go faster instead of turning and attacking at the one who dove heels into her while riding.

Upon reaching the airport of New Zealand, and taking the drive to the location of the event which would have to be taken by boat since it was on a Northern island. From the pictures we seen, the group of us looked forward to the beauty it had to offer. Hopefully my eyes won't be too focused on the scenery, and instead keep to what needed to be done for the event! I hope Cassi as well won't fall into that habit too.

The long trip was now over. Already we filled up most of our camera's with various scenes and such we felt deserved capturing. Gotta same some for the events!!! Had to hide them. Especially from my daughters. No matter how much they whined, there was not going to be any further pictures til after we check out everything. Least to say, the girls didn't care much about the cameras after taking their gaze and gasping at all the Narasingha's that were here to try their stuff like we were. Some for the halter show, others setting up for the boar hunts. We thought about doing the boar hunting, but felt Cassi would instantly kill the thing rather than pin it and allow us to do the killing shot.

Carefully we walked Cassi out of a trailer we rented and let her get to know her surroundings. I don't think she has seen this many people and those of her own kind before. Her eyes were wide. Looking wary, and rumbling softly with discomfort. I offered her a pet to the head and soft words. Seeing if that would help the girl relax some. Honestly I think her eyes were set more upon the males than of the fellow femme's. Taking some interest already? Naughty girl...

With the help of my daughters we got the headcollar with reins, and saddle ready on Cassi. Checking it over to make sure everything was set, and not going to fall off. Everything seemed rightfully in place and not looking to come off or slip. By this time Cassi had settled down and seemed eager to see what she'll be doing. Panting softly as she lazily looked about. Then with a huff, I hoisted myself onto the saddle and slipped my feet into place. In twenty minutes, Cassi and me would be on the field.

I hope my experience with mounted archery will give us a boost if Cassi can't get the speed I'd like from her....
