Description This was my first attempt at a higher detail tree, I've learnt alot. Made in 3dsmax and photoshop.

update : I've updated the leaf planes as some of you have suggested, the polycount went up, to the 2200's from 1800's but I think the trade off was worth it

Now I'm always very harsh with 3D trees. So I simply had to comment on this... It's beautiful.

What would be beneficial the most is to make the actual leaves and branches on those leaves, that is, on the planes, bigger. Also, then take the planes and give it a slight bend modifier, and various directions, adding a slight twist also helps as it gives it a more three dimensional look, rather than just something painted on a plane.

I appreciate the input, I will sort out the planes better. Though T didnt want to add too many to hide the 3d branches.

But that's kind of how nature works

Plus you don't have to hide the 3d branches, if you want those to stand out, then make the textures on the plane a lot less full.
