Appearance: Honojiroi Kuroji can be described as the pretty boy of the Gotei 13 among the captains. His overall feminine looks and outward attitude both tell different stories. By first look he looks as if he’d be the stuck up type always worrying about how he looks and such things. He actually isn’t. He stands a decent five foot eight inches in height with a lean build. His long silver hair that reaches well to his hips shines with the upmost beauty. The shine and body of his hair are absolutely a sight to see and it appears almost as silk. The feel of his hair has been compared to silk by anyone who has felt it. The sides of his hair reach well past his chest while his bangs take another look. Part of Honojiroi’s bangs are tucked neatly under the sides of his hair behind his ears. In the center of his bangs is one lock of hair that extends to the right side of his chin flopping over the bridge of his nose in a nice way. The back of his hair extends down to his hips as the body of his silver hair slowly grows as it reaches further down. When moving around in combat Honojiroi’s hair has a beautiful flow to it almost as if it were gentle ocean waves. When on covert missions Honojiroi usually ties his hair in a ponytail to keep it out of his way. His long hair is truly perfect and doesn’t seem to bother him in any way. Honojiroi’s eyes are a beautiful deep red and glisten with life. The unique color of his eyes compliments his silver hair quite well only adding to his beauty. Honojiro constantly carries a rather serious expression on his face. Honojiro’s looks give off a cold aspect to some and this quite fitting considering the nature of his zanpakuto. His very feminine looks and constant smile can seduce anyone into falling for him right away. While he may look as if he has it all in the looks department it was actually the starting point of his grief while growing up. Many other shinigami were jealous of his looks and bullied and made him an outcast through his childhood and academy years. Many things can be said about his looks but Honojiroi thinks of them almost as a curse.
Captain of the 2nd Division as well as being head of the Omnitsukido Honojiroi has of course altered his personal captain’s haori to his liking and comfort level. Honojiroi has completely changed the outward appearance of the haori. Instead of wearing it by sleeves he wears it around his neck like a scarf. The giant scarf is very long in length wrapping around his neck a few times but still reaching down past his hips on both ends. One of the ends falls over Honojiroi’s chest and down past his waist while the other does the same but down his back. The scarf haori appears to be rather worn around the edges The area of the scarf that is wrapped around his neck is wrapped rather loosely and comes high enough that if Honojiroi was to pull it up it would cover his nose and mouth almost like a mask. When on covert mission he often does pull it up to act as a mask instead of taking the time to put one on. Details of the haori such as the division symbol and the marks at the base of the haori can be seen throughout the scarf in various areas. Honohiroi’s haori scarf is probably one of the more unique and drastic changes of haori among the captains besides the 13th Division captain Takeshi Nagano of course. Honojiroi hasn’t made any alterations to the rest of his uniform at all really. He still wears the traditional black and white shinigami robes and black hakama. He wears the traditional footwear and white sash as well. On the back of the sash is a loop that he slides his zanpakuto into instead of carrying it tucked under the sash. This is a tradition of the Omnitsukido to carry your zanpakuto in this fashion which Honojiroi honors.
Personality: Honojiroi’s personality is just as beautiful as his looks in some ways. Though having a past full of misery and down put he has managed to be the best he can be. Honojiroi may give of outward signs of being the type of person to be in a constant serious mood he is actually a pretty nice person if you take the time to get to know him. He is the type of person that is as loyal as he can possibly be with his friends. Though he has some trust issues, Honojiroi tries his best to get over them and just forget the past. He is constantly haunted by his past which he always seems to get reminded of at the most unwanted times. Over the years Honojiroi went from confining himself in his captain’s quarters and with the help of his lieutenant bring himself to the outside world. Compared to what he used to be Honohiroi has made a tremendous improvement with this issue. Honojiroi is a very welcoming person to new souls, despite his past, but has his serious side. Being one who was constantly picked on and bullied Honojiroi has no mercy for people who mess with the ones he have come to love and care for. When one of his friends becomes threatened by an enemy he takes no second thought in cutting them down in a heartbeat. His serious side greatly shows in battle. Knowing that his who being and life is threatened by certain beings it’s almost like he becomes a whole different person in battle. When in battle he shows no mercy and becomes like an emotionless soul. He takes no second thought when fighting an opponent to kill them. Honojiroi has slowly become aware of this and actually hates it. Some would think of this a perfect chance for a perfect soldier but Honojiroi thinks otherwise. He is slowly learning to overcome it.

His sheer speed and abilities to lurk quietly and unseen all came naturally to him as if he had a similar profession when he was alive. His zanpakuto taking the form of a wakizashi his blade wasn’t exactly made for full on head-to-head clashed but a more distant style. When Honojiroi uses his zanjutsu abilities he is one to take caution and come in for attacks only when he sees and opening. While Honojiroi’s method of fighting with his zanpakuto may seem a little distant and like a coward it is actually very effective. When it comes to hand-to-hand combat Honojiroi tops the list. He is actually the reigning Hakuda master in the Soul Society. If the 6th Division Captain, Gamen Sentetsu were to compete for ranking he would but since he doesn’t Honojiroi takes the title. Honojiroi is aware of this and respects Gamen as the true Hakuda master and not himself. Honojiroi grew up being constantly bullied and even being beaten for it so his natural instinct was to learn to fight. He taught himself everything he knows and has originated his own style of fighting. By mixing his natural high speed with his quick attacks he is able to get past almost anyone and take them out. His style is truly a threat for his opponent and with the help of the Shino Academy he was able to perfect this style. Honojiroi’s natural speed is actually very impressive but with the help of his also impressive flash stepping skills he becomes a powerhouse for high-speed movement and fighting. Though not the best when it comes to using the flash step it does make him the fastest captain under the Captain Commander. Honojiroi’s overall abilities fit his position perfectly and a force to be reckoned with like most other captains.

While most would think it would have something to do with his speed or Hakuda skills, it's actually an extremely advanced technique mastered only by three others in the history of the Soul Society. Knowing the ability "Jigen Kotei" which translates to "Dimension Step" in english, which is an ability that works down to the molecular level. This ability uses a tremendous amount of spiritual pressure that could kill anything below captain-level in one shot. Honojiroi being a captain but also having the second most amount of spiritual pressure among the captains of the Gotei 13, Mikon being the first. By filling each and every cell in the body with spiritual pressure Honojiroi can completely break down his body. By doing so he can move each and every cell at will and can appear to have a chunk blown out of his body when a attacks lands by in reality he broke down that area of his body to avoid the attack. Honojiroi can also use this ability to work his entire body around a attack such as a cero and appear to go right through the attack. This is truly a captain-commander level skill that Honojiroi has mastered. Honojiroi can also move all the particles at high speeds appearing to completely vanish, spiritual pressure and all, and reappear anywhere. With this being said the name "Dimension Step" comes from this aspect of the ability. And call that his broken down is actually temporarily transported to his inner world and waist until he calls it back. This ability can make for a huge challenge in battle for both the opponent and Honojiroi alike.
Zanpakuto: Tengokushimo ( Heaven Frost ) Honojiroi's zanpakuto takes the form of a regular sized wakizashi with a snow white blade. The blade is beauty all on its own and is said to leave the air itself stained with its beauty. Each and every swing of the blade seems to leave a white afterimage as it swings which slowly fades. Even the sealed state itself is said to be legendary in its beauty. The hand-guard is in the shape of a octagon with different triangular and diamond shapes cut into it. Lines run around the shape mimicking it making it appear to be layered. The handle appears to be black in color. The handle of the blade is a sparkling grey color that doesn't have too much of a different tone to it as the blade, but the difference is indeed there. The pommel of the blade and diamonds in between the handle are also a black color. The blade is carried in a snow white sheath not too much of a different color from the blade and wrapping around the handle.
