[Prototype]I had in mind this alternate and dark version of the original MMPR for a fan fiction. For the design I had in mind as references the 1995 movie’s Power Rangers, Kamen Rider TheFirst/The Next, Kamen rider Kabuto, Beetleborgs. So I used the drawing kyomusha.deviantart.com/art/Po…

The concept of this Power Rangers is about teenagers that find by chance the morphers, not because of destiny or being chosen by some entity. No mentor, no mission. They have free will about their powers but are also lost about their purpose of being a ranger. They don’t know the right way because they ar e not the right people to begin with. In the end they will have to unite forces to fight strong foes that want to destroy the place they live in.

Yeah, I got inspiration from the Unworthy Power Rangers, and I even made a movie script for the Power Rangers Unchosen

It seems it has a bit of Kamen Rider aspect I could see like Lord Zedd finding out about kamen riders and steal kabuto's power and then create his artificial soldier like rangers also the sword is a nice touch

That also would be cool. In the fanfiction I’m writing, the Unchosen Morphers are created by Rita using the power cristals stolen from Ninjor, and than these morphers get in space ‘cause of an explosion during an experiment to create artificial crystals, falling then on earth, where five assholes teenagers pick them by chance.

cool I just wonder if they'll lose their powers later on and it gets passed to lord zedd and then like Lord Zedd goes and just destroys the power rangers.

Maybe not AS dark as the original pitch, but it could work for a unique kind of PR season. (I'd say it'd work as either an adaptation of Zyuohger, Kyuranger or ToQGer. Or as something completely original.)
