Yeah. It's 'true' physical form is female and it lays eggs. However It's actual true form is an incomprehensible mass of light and exists in a different dimension called the Macroverse. It's been speculated that Dandelo, a similar creature from Stephen King's the Dark Tower (book series) is It's only surviving offspring. The movie honestly didn't follow the book or lore. Sorry for rambling, there's a bit more complex stuff, lol.
