when i was looking at the thumbnail, it looked like the tail went all the way to the end of the picture, and i thought the title was "Endless Bird"

Peacocks aren't actually flightless, but the time when they are most at risk from predators is when their tails are in full summer/mating plumage. Sometimes a peacock's tail is so heavy that he can't get airborne and this makes it easy for a predator to catch him. Peahens aren't troubled by such things.
