Arghhhh finally done. Hard to find time between classes now that school started again. Pastel colored painting of little Toothless perched in a tree! SO CUTE. I CANNOT EVEN. Thought I'd throw in some colors into his back and wings, hopefully it worked out.
I didn't do anything with the background because i haven't had any practice drawing backgrounds, but if anyone has suggestions I'm definitely open, because I'm not sure what to do with it and didn't want to risk putting down pastel then screwing it up...

Thank you! Um, I'm experimenting with pastels still, so I mostly use fingers and sometimes blending pencils although those thin the pastel out. I've found that layering the pastels a lot help too but there's a LOT of trial and error.

Interesting, I'll have to try layering a little more. Cause I have to admit, I've kind of had a lot of issue with thinning out the pastel.
