Cuttlefish! I love these creatures - they're so cool looking and have really diverse personalities. I love the patterning you chose for this one - it makes for a very interesting piece~!

wonderful job capturing these fascinating little guys!. The cuttlefish is one of my top 5 fav sea creatures. did you use salt on the background? the affect is lovely, just like bubbles!

Thanks, I really like them too! Like living opals! The bubbles are real dawn dish soap bubbles actually! I have been playing with a texture technique where you gets lots of suds worked up and then apply "heaps" to the paper and you take a well saturated brush with water colors on it and can "color" the bubbles and then allow them to dry (pop) on their own and it leaves these fun residual bubble patterns. It's a LOAD of fun I highly suggest playing with it!
