Description
The lineart is Micron over pencil, colors done in Open CanvasI rather like how it turned out. This lovely pukey yellow, I'll say the "rich" colors kinda turned out from painting practice...
I'll probably make this available as a print sometime soon.

To answer your question, scanning lineart can be tricky!
For this particular piece, I had inked it by hand with a thin marker (0.3 felt tip), and scanned at probably 300 dpi (higher is better).
I use photoshop to tweak the colors and clean it up. Mostly curves + levels. I go in with an eraser after the fact to clean up any other additional spots.
I've found that the size of your inking pen really makes a difference... as well as the kind of paper you're drawing on. Some papers will bleed more than others (smoother paper tends to hold the ink better, depending on the combination)
You're also seeing the piece at a really small size! My original piece was a full 8.5x11 size of paper.

Thank YOU for the wonderful advice !!!! I've been using 0.03 and O.O5 multiliners on layout paper, and scanning 600 dpi, but I guess I should shrink it more before posting... Thank you for the advice on adjusting and cleaning too, that was really helpful !
