Description ...dovahkiins love libraries.

So...been absent for awhile. Sorry about that, but hopefully it'll be worth it. This is just a little idea I had when I came across that Beauty and the Beast demotivational poster with the same caption as this title (except for the dovahkiin part, obviously). Anyway, done in Adobe Illustrator, Apocrypha background done in Photoshop.

If you decide to share this, please link back! I hope you like it!

Love it! The expressions are the best part, but I'm also a huge fan of Mora watching stuff on a tiny old-fashioned TV with rabbit ears.

Bwah ha ha! It is all part of my evil plan!

Lol. "Love child of Cthulu and a Beholder"? XD Never hear about Beholders anymore! I almost miss the floating contact lenses.

Oh no, they're still alive and well causing mayhem in DnD...in fact, we had a campaign not that long ago that pitted one against some sort of Fiendish Avatar/guardian ~ dunno exactly What it was. It was big, shadowy, scarey and powerful. We just hoped the two beat each other down enough we'd survive the winner...

Most of my late DnD campaigns had to do with Drow. Never ending, bitchy Drow. I got so sick of Drow that my character kidnapped a pair of newborn Drow twins from the wreckage the rest of the party left, took them home to raise them and retired from the campaign. Other than that, mostly human armies and politics.

Now I miss DnD.

oh lordy, that's right up there, kinda, with what shenanigans the original Telki pulled:
1. tying time in a knot...she rescued a younger brother from dying, thus keeping Gideon and Gabriel from becoming 'the brothers Grim" and instigating a purge on Drow

2. after stampeding randy cave lizards through what they thought was an outpost, discovered it was an encroaching village of Drow. The kids had hidden themselves when they heard the lizards coming. Telki coaxed them out, and brought them all back to the palace in Waterdeep.

yes, Lord Paladinson's castle overrun with liberated Drow children. You're welcome.

3. Holy Water elemental.

"Plans never survive the first encounter with the enemy." This holds true in RPGs more than any other scenario.

yeeeeeep. That's such a paladin worldview that

So telki started referring to it as 'lemming philosophy'

ooooooh that made him so maaaaaaaaad

Lol. My boyfriend usually plays either a paladin or a dread knight. He's really good playing extreme ideologies. He was so good at playing Lawful Anal that the guy who played the rogue is still afraid of him.

nice! My husband has two defaults: Lawful Good Paladin and BARD. yeah, he swaps out entirely too easily, and it sometimes gives me whiplash trying to keep up.

I tend to vacillitate between mischiefmaking rogue Halfling and mother hen cleric.

Right now, I'm playing a brassy dwarven cleric of Marthamor Duin to his suave half elf bard, while my daughter has taken over the role of mischeifous Halfling thief.

I'm usually bard or mage. I also tend to make up races, and this usually gives the DM some pause until I explain it, then shocks them because...well, I tend to world-build everything, and can answer all their questions and potential problems. My two bards (one was a youngster that I started to think unsuitable for the campaign, so I retired her and brought in her older sister) are Firebirds; a race with a once per day racial ability of Lullaby, and two forms, that of a half-elf type humaniod and another similar to a swan-like phoenix. The older sister is also a Beguiler, which shocked some people because her little sister was pretty much Darva.

My mage is also a Catalyst, which means she's as much artifact as person, and thus has the unfortunate trait of needing to be bound to another mage. As a Catalyst, she can absorb all forms of magic and store it nearly infinitely, as well as transmute it into other types of magic. However, she cannot use what she has stored, which is why she needs another mage. Being a Catalyst only helps her in that she can absorb hostile spells, and hinders her in that if an enemy mage discovers this, she tends to pull a Daphne. Other than that, she operates as any ordinary mage and noble. I have her origin story around somewhere, if you ever wanted to read it.

Those are really cool.

Y'know, that reminds me of a later version of Telki that wound up with a pet Mage. He cast a 'find familiar' spell bent on a cat of some sort...and Telki was the only catlike lifeform in rage of his spell.

He didn't like it, not one little bit. Telki made him regret it a loooong time.

and a story to read? you kidding? gimme!

Remind me and I'll put it up on my stash tomorrow for you. I would just do it now, but it's too dang late.

XD Woooooow. That is awesome. Wish I'd been there for that! I love how Telki ended up with a pet mage rather than the mage ending up with a familiar Telki.

Mostly, cause she was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. He really was more of an apprentice playing in the master's spellbook than an accomplished mage.....
aaaaand the DM was my husband messing with me for laughs.

Thank you!  The fun part for me is that this is my character Soliliquie (seen here: fav.me/d5vzbeu ), who is basically Lawful Good, where Hermie is Chaotic Neutral, at best.

Despite his lack of facial features, he is very expressive, and it makes the comic that much more hilarious
Great job !
